It was said that the power of the Ark of the Covenant could only be summoned by a priest who wore a sacred breast plate which was known as the breast plate of judgement. It is described in detail in the book of exodus as a square design made from twined golden linen and inlaid with twelve precious stones set in four rows. Because they were originally set in gold, they are sometimes referred to as the jewels of gold .These sacred gemstones were believed to have divine powers
From exodus 28
The Breastplate was called the "Oracle of judgement". The Breastplate had 12 stones which were named after the 12 tribes of the Hebrews.
They are also described as the stones of fire. It is said that they once belonged to Lucifer but taken from him by god after his fall from grace.
The Hebrews knowledge of these stones may have come from Egypt.
The scarabs from Egypt were made in a wide variety of materials, such as carnelian, lapis lazuli, basalt, limestone, malachite, schist, serpentine, turquoise, coloured glass, and alabaster. Pottery scarabs were also produced in terracotta moulds, carved when dry and different coloured glazes applied.
In 1996 in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Italian mineralogist Vincenzo de Michele spotted an unusual yellow-green gem in the middle of one of Tutankhamen’s necklaces carved to resemble a scarab. The jewel was tested and found to be glass, working with Egyptian geologist Aly Barakat, they traced its origins to unexplained chunks of glass found scattered in the sand in a remote region of the Sahara Desert. The BBC Horizon programme has reported an extraordinary new theory linking Tutankhamen’s gem with a meteor.
Most scarabs were made for the living. The small magical object was believed imbued with particular protective powers that warded off evil.
Alan F Alford in his book, when the gods come down, believes the origin of religions lie in the worship of meteorites. He suggests the ben ben stone to be an asteroid.
Also in the book crystal sun by Robert Temple he mentions of load stones in the capstones of pyramids. A load stone was found in church steeple of chartes, he suggests that other churches built around the same time may have these loadstones in their steeples as if carrying on an ancient tradition.
The electric or magnetic gems, tourmaline, amber, and load stone, possess not only great scientific interest, but demonstrate the fact that a certain energy really does proceed from some of these fair, ornamental objects, an energy that produces a positive action from without upon the human body. This may well serve to make us less resolutely sceptical as to the possible presence in gemstones of some other forms of emanation not as yet susceptible of scientific determination.
Small EMPs affect the human brain; they have been known to cause hallucinations. The brain picks up on the subtle changes which induces images. So something affecting our aura may affect our thought patterns
The Kohinoor is reputed to bring misfortune or death to any male who wears or owns it. Alternatively, it is reputed to bring good luck to female owners
Once the largest white diamond in the Western world, the Sancy was thought to impart invincibility to whoever wore it. Paradoxically, it was also believed to be the source of an ancient curse that visited a violent death to any who owned it.
According to the legend, a curse befell a large, blue diamond when it was plucked (i.e. stolen) from an idol in India - a curse that foretold bad luck and death not only for the owner of the diamond but for all who touched it.
Also the Black Orlov or The Eye of Brahma, the jewel's curse allegedly began when it was removed from a Hindu shrine in southern India and then claimed to be responsible for the violent deaths of two Russian princesses.
Celestite (strontium sulphate) has a sky (or celestial) blue colour that is unique in the mineral kingdom. The name stems from the Latin word Caelertis, meaning "of the sky." Popular lore says that celestite came from the star group called the Pleiades, and that it holds the wisdom of the ages.
This ethereal mineral is believed to aid personal creative expression, help reduce stress, and provide peace of mind. It is also said to help one adjust to higher states of awareness, provide access to and transfer of information from the angelic realms, and assist in clairvoyant endeavours.
The branhan seer was said to be able to see into the future with a blue stone.
Michael Persinger's work has demonstrated that electromagnetic fields change processes in the brain, whereby certain mystic or visionary experiences are created. The ancients may have been aware of this fact and used the magnetic properties of stones and the electromagnetic fields in places ( earth's grid) to achieve that effect.
With stone circles built on these grids intersections, and churches later built on some of these locations, it goes to show Virtually all of the art, myths and temples from  ancient cultures contain step-by-step descriptions for having Grail experiences, and the attainment of enlightenment.
The quest for the grail can be seen as an inner journey of soul enhancement. This enlightenment of the inner self is seen as changing lead to gold.Carl Jung regarded the grail quest as a search for the essential self. To him the restoration of the waste lands that results from finding the grail represents an individual's integration of mind body and soul through experience. This universal theme may help to explain why there are so many different versions of the grail legend. It was prophesied that the Grail would one day be rediscovered by the best knight in the land- Galahad, Lancelot’s son, had a miraculous, though brief, vision of the Grail that set him on his quest.  The knight who found the Grail would, like Galahad, become illuminated or self-realized. Unfortunately, the quest for the Holy Grail has become overly identified as an external search, rather than an internal journey of self-mastery. Giving alternatives for the origin of the search for and the location of the grail and even what it looks like.
In King Arthur the true story, by Graham Phillips and Martin Keatman 'Wolfram's story', the grail is not a platter or even a chalice, but a magical stone lapsil excills. According to Wolfram it was this stone that God banished the angles with who didn't support him in his battle with Lucifer.
The grail was also regarded in another tradition as the alchemist’s philosophers stone. A precious stone brought down by the angels or an emerald from Lucifer's crown as he fell to earth, whatever the origin this stone was endowed with miraculous powers.
In Parzival, a stone is in the keeping of a noble family who are entrusted with its protection. The stone is said to heal and preserve the life of its guardians. The grail is further protected by an order of knights chosen as children when their names appear on the stone itself
From Celtic mythology there is a mention of the four hallows, these match the four suites in a tarot deck. These four items are mentioned in King Arthur the "Sword" from a "stone", the "grail" and the "lance".)
In Celtic tradition the pentacles represents the ancient stone of Fal on the sacred hill Tara on which the kings of Ireland stood to be crowned
Gaythelus, a Scythian prince living in Egypt, together with his princess Scota travelled further north with the stone. They journeyed with the stone via Spain to Ireland. Others recount it was brought to Scone directly from Egypt. Jacob's pillow is also called the stone of Scone, the stone of destiny and Lia Fail the coronation stone of the early Irish and Scottish kings
A special stone of some type forms much of the Irish and Scottish origin and kingship legends and it is also present in the legends and history of other peoples.
"From Jonathan Blacks the secret history of the world
The magnificent civilisation the Arabs both scared fascinated and horrified the medieval Europe. The most common report was of a miraculous mechanical garden made out of precious metals containing mechanical birds that flew and sang. In the middle of the garden stood a great golden tree. Bearing fruit made out of large precious stones and representing the planets, which also means that precious stones representing the chakra points
There’s a gem claimed to have come from King David's sword that was kept in Valencia cathedral in Spain
(There is a tale of a healing cup. This cup was made of wood with precious stones in laid in it. The people who were ill would chew a bit of the wood as they drank from the cup thinking it was the wood that healed them, but eventually the cup was broken down, it may have been the alignment of jewels in the cup that healed, not the wood.
So could the grail be a golden ornament with precious stones on it, these collective subtle energies emitted from this one item may help to open the third eye in the chakras. A kind of tool to help with meditation,
