There are many books available about chakras to name a few ANCIENT WISDOM- Cassandra Eason- DIVINING THE FUTURE- Eva Shaw. Chakras are seven main points in the human body. The idea is to meditate on each chakra point in turn, releasing ones own internal energy, starting from the base of the spine to the top of the head.
In the book Cosmic Clocks by Michel Gauquelin he links ancient astrology and the science of rhythms of the universe. He shows how clocks built into all living creatures are attune to magnetic, electrostatic and electromagnetic fields of the earth, which in turn are effected by the movement of other cosmic bodies.

By observing the laws of nature, Chinese sages drew up a series of guidelines to help people live in harmony with there surroundings, feng shui. Feng shui is the means of controlling chi. Chi is the name given to the life that permeates and vivifies the entire universe. The placing of furniture, ornaments etc. within the home can attract positive chi. Jainism is an Indian religion which offers a path to enlightenment. Their spiritual teachers (tirtha) can be a ford, a crossing place or a sacred place - person - path which enables believers to cross over into liberation. To follow in their paths and to stop at certain points to meditate is a path of enlightenment, (for further reading SACRED EARTH, SACRED STONES- Brian Leigh Molyneaux and Piers Vitebsky), each stopping point represents a different chakra and the path of enlightenment being a chakra trail.

These trails are located around the planet and are incorporated in almost (if not all) religions. From the song paths of the Aborigines to the pilgrim trails of Europe. These main chakra points on Earth represent different planets. Each trail giving a map of the solar system and each trail running along a ley line. The whole idea of these chakra trail is a path of enlightenment.

You begin the path of enlightenment at the moon chakra (the root chakra). When the first stage of the journey is complete you move on to the second stage Mercury (spleen chakra) then to Venus (solar plexus chakra) then to the Sun (heart chakra) then to Mars (throat chakra), Jupiter (brow chakra), Saturn (crown chakra).
