THE LOST CHAKRA TRAILS
THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD
When we go back to the first recorded human, the Adam, and the Garden of Eden we learn that the Garden was in the shadow of the Mountain of God (biblical name), ‘Bright Mountain of the heavenly assembly to the Sumerians. The mountain of assembly is where the deities of Sumer/ Mesopotamia dwelt and according to the bible it is on mountains where humans encounter God, Abraham on Mount Moriha, Moses on Mount Sinai, Moses on Mount Nebo etc., also the ancient Greek Gods dwelt on Mount Olympus. There is no doubt that Mountains have played an importent roll in religious beliefs dating back from those first recorded humans through to Christianity. It was also important for those early people to communicate with their God/ Deities for it was God who first handed down the laws to humans.
THE SEVEN HEAVENS
To communicate with God one would have to travel to the place where God dwelt, Heaven. This would not be a simple journey and not a journey that could be taken by anyone. From the earliest times each group of people had one among them who took the lead where religious beliefs where concerned. This priest/ shaman would be the one to take the journey to communicate with God, for only he could understand the complexity involved in interpreting the meaning and wisdom of their deities.
A simple, short journey would not be fitting. The priest would have to prove himself worthy to communicate with his deity. This journey would test him both physically and mentally and at each stage of this journey the priest would have to prove himself worthy before he could pass onto the next stage and eventually reach the place where he would communicate with his god. This journey or trail of enlightenment took the priest through the Seven Heavens.
Seventh Heaven - Throne of glory.
Sixth Heaven - The Host of Angels.
Fifth Heaven - The Treasuries of Snow and Hail.
Fourth Heaven - The Place of Sacrifice.
Third Heaven - The Clouds.
Second Heaven - Windows of Day and Night.
First Heaven - The One-way Curtain.
Below the first heaven is the Source of Life.
THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD AND THE SEVEN HEAVENS
It is now not to difficult to realise that the Seven Heavens relate directly to a mountain trail. A trail that lead up the Mountain of God/ Bright Mountain of the heavenly assembly a trail which the chosen priest would travel in the hopes of communicating with his deity should he reach the final stage the Throne of Glory.
